JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-LACKLAND, Texas – Two Twenty-Fifth Air Force Airmen were recently recognized by the Alamo Federal Executive Board as 2019 Federal Recognition Award winners at the Schertz Civic Center, May 8.

Master Sgt. Brian Case, Twenty-Fifth Air Force future concepts manager, and Tech. Sgt. Jannie Brooks, 93rd Intelligence Squadron operations and training section chief, both received bronze medals in their individual categories – no small feat considering who they were up against.

The Alamo FEB is the collaboration hub encompassing 63 federal agencies in the greater San Antonio area, which includes Austin. San Antonio has the second largest federal community outside of Washington, D.C., and is made up of more than 130,000 civilian and uniformed employees.

This year’s ceremony was attended by roughly 300 military and civilian federal employees from across the Greater San Antonio federal government. Paul Braudis, Alamo FEB chair, presented awards in 11 categories; nominees were screened by a selection panel representing various agencies, reviewed and narrowed down to 51 finalists.

Officials emphasized to all nominees that competition was extremely competitive, and they should all be very proud to have risen to the top of such a talented federal workforce.
