Callahan became the commander of the 75th Intelligence Squadron July 17 during a ceremony at the Pfingston Basic Military Training Reception Center, Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland. Col. Aaron D. Drake, commander, 659th Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group, presided over the ceremony, where Lt. Col. Becky M. Beers relinquished command.
  • ‘Hellcat Nation’ welcomes new commander

    Lt. Col. James Wright took command of the 57th Intelligence Squadron, 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing, 25th Air Force, July 14. Lt. Col. Paul Harmer relinquished command, and Col. Michael Johanek, director, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, and commander, 365th ISR Group, officiated the ceremony.
  • Senior Intelligence Officer takes command of 363rd ISR Wing

    Col. Jonathan C. Rice IV took command of the 363rd Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Wing July 7 in a ceremony officiated by Maj. Gen. Mary F. O’Brien, commander, 25th Air Force. Rice received the guidon after Col. Michael Stevenson relinquished command.
  • Launch and recovery

    Crew Chiefs from the 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron perform daily maintenance on the U-2 Dragon Lady, which helps ensure the aircraft is ready to perform worldwide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. These Airman also play a critical role in the launch and recovery process of the U-2 during the missions life cycle.
  • Building dedication honors unit legend

    A dedication ceremony was held at the 97th Intelligence Squadron headquarters facility here June 30. The facility was dedicated Tennant Hall in honor of retired Chief Master Sgt. Thomas H. Tennant who played a major role establishing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations in multiple units which later became the 97th IS.

    Due to a shortage of pilots and an increased demand for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, the Air Force had to innovate and called upon enlisted Airmen to help supplement the number of pilots needed to meet our ISR demands by becoming remotely piloted aircraft pilots.

This culture aims to foster new opportunities and introduce technologies, like VR, to the intelligence world - with a long-term objective of being introduced Air Force-wide, giving Airmen new capabilities in training, operations and building resiliency.
